Gym IQ Privacy Policy

Gym IQ operates this app and website. Contact onset.fitness1@gmail.com for support or privacy questions.
App Store Launch Waitlist
If you join the website waitlist, we store your name, email address, consent and signup time to send one email when Gym IQ is available on the App Store. That email includes the direct App Store download link. This does not sign you up for recurring marketing or app reminders.
We use our connected email provider to deliver the launch message. Each launch email includes an unsubscribe link. We keep delivery status to avoid duplicate messages and preserve withdrawals of consent. To request removal before launch, contact Gym IQ Support using the link below.
Who This Policy Covers
This policy describes how Gym IQ handles information when people use its personal fitness app and website, including accounts, training, learning, optional cloud storage and AI assistance. Trainer, Gym and client features have been retired.
Adults 18 And Older
Gym IQ is intended for adults aged 18 and older, not children or minors. Do not use Gym IQ if you are under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has supplied personal information to Gym IQ, contact onset.fitness1@gmail.com.
This intended-audience rule is not a claim that age verification has already been implemented.
Accounts And Profiles
Gym IQ uses Clerk for authentication and account sessions. Account identifiers and personal profile information support sign-in and access to your own progress. Every account uses the personal-user experience. Historical business profiles are not public listings or active workspaces.
Training And Account Continuity
Personal plans, workout records, check-ins and lesson progress can be stored on your device or browser. Guest activity is separate from signed-in account activity. Account continuity features may send non-media records to Gym IQ’s server to restore them on another device. Signing in alone should not be understood as copying every device-local record or photo.
Retired Business Records
Historical business profiles, relationships, messages, attachments and coaching records may remain stored. Retiring these features is not permanent data deletion. The app and API no longer provide business listings, client management, private coaching messages or access to their attachments. Historical cleanup and account-deletion processes remain separate.
Private Photos And Optional Backup
Progress photos remain local by default. Optional private cloud backup requires a separate choice and is intended for the account owner’s restoration, not public or trainer access. Backup consent does not authorize AI analysis or public sharing. Bodybuilder pose and stage photos are separate from Progress Photos. Removing a cloud copy and removing a local original are distinct actions.
Photos, Recorded Videos And AI Assistance
When you explicitly request machine identification, a photo review, pose or stage-shot analysis, or recorded exercise-form analysis, selected media is sent for processing. A pose comparison may include selected prior photos as well as new photos when disclosed in that review. These actions do not authorize automatic analysis of your Progress Photos.
Recorded form clips are uploaded for temporary server processing. The app prepares reduced-resolution, audio-free segments for model analysis and attempts to remove temporary processing files after the request. This is not a promise about all third-party retention. Gym IQ also uses AI assistance for personalized weekly training recommendations, which may process relevant training inputs. Daily workout check-ins and fitness-record explanations use fixed rules without AI processing. AI feedback can be incomplete or incorrect and is not medical advice.
The configured AI architecture sends on-demand media analysis and weekly recommendation requests through Gym IQ’s server and Replit AI Integrations to OpenAI and Google Gemini. Integration credentials stay on the server, not in the app. Fitness-record explanations do not send questions or health records to an AI provider.
Gym IQ stores operational AI usage counts with hashed account or guest-network identifiers to enforce usage limits. These counters do not contain prompts, photos, videos or AI answers. Eligible machine-recognition results and general powerlifting recommendations may be briefly reused in account-specific server memory for identical requests. Health/fitness explanations, physique/pose results and form-video feedback are excluded from that cache. Media is not stored in this cache.
Health And Fitness Information
Connected health features request read-only access to supported health sources. Depending on your choices and available readings, this may include workout activity, heart rate, calories, steps, sleep and recovery information. Gym IQ does not write these readings back to Apple Health or Health Connect. Health access is not a guarantee of live wearable data, and on iPhone an empty result does not prove that read permission was denied.
Health information remains device-local unless you enable the separately disclosed private cloud feature. Trainer and gym access is disabled, including previously granted sharing. Disabling access cannot recall information someone already viewed or copied. Private backup withdrawal or deletion may remain pending while your device is offline.
Optional nutrition and body-weight imports read available calorie, protein, carbohydrate, fat, water and weight records that source apps have shared with Apple Health or Health Connect. Strong and Hevy workout histories can also be imported from a CSV file you choose, after reviewing and confirming the import. These new nutrition, weight and lifting-history imports are stored in the device's private fitness journal and are excluded from cloud backup and AI requests. Health Trends calculates charts and comparisons on the device. Manual daily check-ins, notes and personal targets are also device-only and excluded from cloud and AI requests. Earlier imported readings may be retained for longer-term trends outside the most recent refreshed source window. Temporary document-picker copies in Gym IQ's cache are removed after reading; your original file is not deleted. Imported lifting history and individual check-ins can be removed separately without changing your own Gym IQ workout logs, and deleting private fitness data also clears these imports, check-ins and targets. Disconnecting a source stops future reads but does not erase previously saved records.
Historical Signed Documents
Document signing and client document management are no longer available. Historical documents and signing evidence may remain stored under their separate retention and account-deletion rules. Retiring a feature or deleting health information does not itself delete signed evidence.
Notifications And Email
Optional phone notifications and email reminders have separate settings. Notification delivery may use device registration, push tokens and Expo’s push service. Email delivery uses your verified account email and the configured Gmail transport. Gym IQ stores preferences and delivery-related records to manage consent, delivery and unsubscribe requests. Enabling a preference does not guarantee that delivery is configured or available.
Third-Party Media And Subscriptions
Lessons and tutorials may load YouTube media, embeds or thumbnails, which make requests to third-party services. External links leave Gym IQ, and the external website’s terms and privacy practices apply to information you provide there.
Gym IQ is free to download. Learning modules and basic workout logging remain free. Gym IQ full access is the app’s only paid product, proposed at $29.99 USD per month; the native store must confirm the actual localized price before purchase. RevenueCat processes subscription identifiers, store transaction and entitlement information under a Gym IQ account identifier to verify purchases and restores. Apple App Store or Google Play processes native payments; Gym IQ does not receive your payment card details. Store configuration determines whether live purchases are available. Test-store purchases do not charge real money. A subscription ending does not delete existing Gym IQ records; account, consent and deletion controls remain available without payment.
Why Information Is Used And Who Receives It
The described information supports authentication, account access, personal training tools, learning, personalization, private storage and optional delivery. Recipients may include service providers for authentication, hosting/storage, AI processing, email, push and embedded media. Trainer and gym sharing is not available.
Third-party retention, processing locations and other uses must be verified with the applicable provider. Gym IQ does not describe local cleanup as a guarantee that a provider retains no copies.
Your Choices, Retention And Deletion
You can manage device permissions, connected-health settings, private backup and notification/email choices using the corresponding app controls. Data deletion options differ by feature; signing out is not account deletion. Disconnecting a health source is not the same as deleting existing stored information.
For a privacy or deletion question, contact onset.fitness1@gmail.com. Device-local records remain until removed through the applicable controls or app/device data removal, subject to separate device backups. The owner has approved intended retention targets for account/profile records, training data, messages and attachments, photo backups, health summaries, unsigned drafts, logs and backups, but those targets are not verified operational schedules. Signed evidence and provider-held copies require separate treatment. No uniform deletion deadline or retention duration is promised.
